Nov.+ Dec.+ Jan.+NYC(3)=Trifecta NYC

Just home from my last of 3 (sigh....for awhile) consecutive trips to NYC.  I call it my Trifecta (absolutely, not to be confused with TriBeCa).  Under the still perplexing "page feature" I made a list of NYC recommended good eats, sleeps, sees and spends.  I think you can get there by clicking on page.   But note, I am not done with it yet....I'll finish it in a few days.  Work in progress.
It was so cold last week, I didn't take many pics.  But here are a few:
This is me accidentally taking a pic of myself at the Met.  I hit the wrong button on my iphone4(!) and this is what I got. Ha!

This is the Balcony Bar at the Met (suggested in the NYC page).  EK and I had such a great time sipping a cocktail and listening to live music.  We didn't expect to do either at the museum....we were sooo happy to get off our feet for a bit and relax before dinner.
EK is the lead guitar in Mental Hygiene.   We *did not* post graffiti in NYC.

That's all for now.
Lovely dreams.

21 things to do in 2011*/**

1.  Sip champagne from my good crystal flutes while folding laundry.
2.  Keep garage tidy (right!!! suppressing giggle right now).
3.  Order fancy, thick, engraved personalized note cards.
4.  Write Queen Rania a fan letter.  Perhaps on an above mentioned note card?
5.  Keep a list of Daughter's Google searches (similar to how I kept her first doodles).  They are charming, innocent, and sometimes downright hysterical.
6.  Eat less hummus.
7. Make something in a tagine. Although I don't have a tagine.  Maybe I'll get a red one for V-day?  Hmmm.  Maybe.  Maybe.  And it has to be red.
8. See Machu Picchu.  It may be closed to tourists soon.  It's true.  I read it on the Internet.
9. Perfect my madeleines.  There is ongoing debate at chez moi as to whether this actually needs to HAPPEN in Paris.
10.  Take a deep breath and continue speaking French this April even when the Paris people respond to me in English.  Although last trip over it rarely happened.  Good news!  Progress!!
11.  Work twice as many pro bono hours than I did in 2010.
12.  Be front and center at a Camera Obscura concert.  Also ongoing debate as to whether I need to do this in their hometown or at a local destination.
13. Use zero plastic bags.  OK, maybe like fewer than 25.
14. See all the 2011 Oscar nominated movies.
15. Enter our companies' quickbooks accounting consistently throughout the year  (suppressing another giggle).  So I don't have to sit ad nauseam at my computer entering numbers as I've been doing the last two days.  Peck. Peck. Peck.
16. Eat more green vegetables.
17. Take Christmas pictures in 2011.  Forgot to take them 2010...off my game!
18.  Figure out how to update/change my blog site header, so I can have cool ones too.
19.  Hang something on the wall in my bedroom.  They're kinda empty.  It has to be right......so I'm putting this out there.  Way, way, way more likely to happen now!
20. Return library books on time.
21.  Actually DO the bleeping photo collage I've been carrying on about for the last 3 years to anyone who is patient enough to listen.  It's a great project.  I just can't seem to get it started.

This list is doable.  I have 12 months after all.
I think I'll start with folding the laundry. HA!
*not necessarily in order
** and once I hit PUBLISH I am sure there will be ooh, what about blankety blank....that'll have to come as a P.S. Post.

And now a photo.  There should be a photo.  I just learned how to do a photo rotating screen saver.....this one came up.  It's sorta an old one, but one of my faves.  Disneyland.  Circa 2004.
Thank you H, for making so many of my days like a lovely little fairy tale!

Do something lovely for yourself often in 2011.
