It's a bittersweet moment. My little jewel box is on the market. While I never thought this day would happen, and all this change came out of nowhere like a train wreck (although, maybe I should use a better metaphor because it's all good). This is the place where I walked in 11 years ago and "got the feeling." You know, the one you can't explain, but hangs on and you know it's right? We lived here, made it lovely, had our child, moved out, gutted it, and made it into the lovely jewel box it is. I only hope whoever is lucky enough to get it knows the joy this place holds for them. Dang! I finally got the kitchen garden out front and my front door......oh, it's so beautiful (people ask about it all the time). If no one buys it this summer, then I get to keep it! At least while we gut and remodel the beast we bought 2 doors down. It'll be a masterpiece: I think I'll coin it "magnum opus." Gosh, we have vision to take it on. It's stucco (the good kind!) has a backyard that will drop jaws once we get our hands on it, what husband affectionately calls a "man cave" (not to mention a two car garage!) and hooray for me....a fireplace in the dining room/library (so cozy).
Yeah, I know, those pictures are not my finest, but I felt compelled to post a front door and kitchen garden photo since I mentioned them.
Countdown to Hong Kong: 3 more weeks. Fun HK fact: we'll get our temperatures taken upon arrival! This is going to be a fascinating trip.....especially after all I've been reading.
